Martha was such a strong, intelligent woman who throughout her entire life became a warrior and advocate for all people with disabilities, but especially for those who are visually impaired. She, by facing her many challenges, taught me so much and for that, I became a better person. I will always remember her for her professionalism,for her total commitment to the children with whom she worked and for being such an excellent role model for all. Her great sense of humor and that fantastic outburst of laughter were just some of her many gifts. While her struggles were many, and through it all, Martha always prevailed. She did the right thing and carried in her heart such respect for all people. I hope her spirit is now set free and the legacy she leaves for us all will forever be remembered and honored. Holly A.
